Camp Pics 2015

It is really hard to believe that camp for this year is history. "History" is a good word for it, because we had 77 campers, 47 staff and 15 pre-campers (or "little's" as we like to call them. The weather this year was absolutely perfect and comfortable. In fact, at night it seemed down right cold, but bearable. We will have more up to-date information on the web page at a later date, along with many more pictures. The web site address is www.camp-nbc.com. Hopefully next week we will have everything updated. So tune in next week, and in the meanwhile enjoy these group photos. Feel free to download them, print them off and share with others. These will also be posted on FaceBook.

Camp Is Coming!!!!

Just think - In less than 2 weeks we will begin another session of NorthLand Bible Camp. August 3 - 8, 2014. Every year at this point there is a large scramble to get everything done in time for camp. There are lessons to prepare, tons of paperwork, people to contact, campers to register, phone calls and emails to be made, crafts and supplies to get ready, and food and supplies to buy and much more. And then we start packing and packing and packing... One week of camp also takes about 40 adult workers to conduct camp. There are Bible Class Teachers, Cabin Leaders, Crafts people, top notch kitchen crew, a nurse or two, Chapel Speakers, Missionary Speakers, musicians, Interest Group leaders, people to help with swimming, sound equipment people, canteen workers, baby sitters, the Camp Director, and probably one of the most important and yet overlooked jobs - Someone to clean the toilets. BUT the most important job of all is to PRAY!!! Without prayer all the rest might as well stay home. Please be in prayer for the staff and campers that God will minister to each one in God's special way. Pray for safety, for strength and God's grace, for God to be glorified, and that God will speak to hearts.

Changes for 2014 Camp

Hopping Tree Frogs, Camp is a little more than 3 months away and we believe it will be a great week of camp. Like everything else there are a few changes this year.
1. The cost of registration is now $120.00 for the week per camper. The GOOD news is that if you register BEFORE June 30th, the cost will still be $100.00 like last year. If you can't afford camp, there is scholarship money available.
2. You can now pay for camp using PayPal or your credit card. All you have to do is go to the webpage www.camp-nbc.com. On the "DONATE" page click on the little "PayPal" button and follow the instructions. You will also be able to pay for camp using your credit card when you register at camp.
3. This year Frank Distad will be the Teen Chapel speaker and Paul Frey will be the Camp Director. Frank is planning on speaking on the book of Psalms.
4. The camp lessons will be on the life of the Bible character, Daniel. You can get a copy of the camp Bible  lessons on the "Registration" page. Simply hit the button that says "Daniel Camp Bible Lesson" to download your own copy.

Don't forget the dates for camp is August 3 - 8th and is for anyone ages 9 - 17 years old. if you need a registration form or a medical form, you cat them online on the camp website. www.camp-nbc.com. You can also download directions to camp, the daily schedule, the camp brochure and more. For more information contact Frank & Linda Distad  715-939-0601 or email us at Fdistad@Gmail.com

Just think - Camp is only 10 months away!!! Are you ready for a great adventure and an exciting time? There is no time like the present to start thinking about next year's camp. There are a lot of important decisions that need to be made, but most of all we want to have a great time of sharing and fellowship.
As soon as the staff retreat is over, we will update the Camp Webpage, so keep checking the site for new information. if you forgot, the webpage is www.camp-nbc.com Go ahead and take a look! Below are random pictures from camp 2013. Are any of these of you or your friends?

Talent Show - "Row Your Boat"

Recently I was looking through last year's talent show and I came across this video, which we thought you might enjoy. As you watch it, see if you know some of these strange and delightful people. In the next few weeks I will try to upload a few photos from last year to get you excited about this year's camp. If you have favorite picture from last year, you can upload it to the camp's Facebook page or send it to me to upload on this blog page.

Camp Update - March 2013

For the past few weeks I have been working on developing a new camp webpage that I can update online. The webpage is now ready for you to view and to download information about this year's camp. The webpage is at www.camp-nbc.com. The old website is now defunct, so please use this new address.
You will also find who will be the Teen and Junior Chapel speakers and the missionary speaker for this year. The theme for 2013 is "Glorifying God" based on the Bible Class lessons on the book of Psalms.

On the "Contact us" page there is a contact form that can use if you have any questions or suggestions for this year's camp. Please feel free to leave a comment, even if it simply "HI". Also let us know what you liked about last year's camp or what you did not like. What was you favorite part of camp? Do you have a suggestion for an Interest Group? Is there other information that you would like to see on the web page? We would love to hear from you.
Above all, if you haven't registered for camp, why not do so now! Don't wait for the last minute.

Monday, November 5, 2012

On September 29th we had a Camp Staff meeting in Trego, Wisconsin with about 30 staff attending. The purpose of this meeting was simply to assess and evaluate this year's camp and to discuss future plans for NorthLand Bible Camp. It was really a blessing to sit down and talk about the camp and God's direction for ministry.  One of the things we desire to do this coming Spring is to develop a Camp Board or Committee that will help with the planning and direction of the camp in the future. Pray for us as we discuss next year's camp and seek God's leading for speakers, workers and more campers. Next year's dates are August 4-9, 2013. The website will be updated this winter, along with the Camp Brochure and other materials.  The Website is: www.Camp-NBC.org  Check it out!
If you are between 9 and 17, plan now to attend. Check out our web page, while you are at it: www.Distad.org
